GIRLS WRITE THE WORLD

Girls Write the World was founded in December 2014 by four former English teachers working in Greenville, MS. Our program was born out of our shared love and belief in our students, combined with a deep concern over the lack resources, opportunities, and safe spaces available in rural Mississippi. We built Girls Write the World to support and honor our students by providing them with a safe space where they can to learn, grow and create together. Today, our staff and advisory board make up a team of activists, teachers, parents, and community members passionate about supporting and uplifting young women in the Mississippi Delta.
